MN Initiative counter
Light rail tunnels and station will cost $117,000,000 millions >
$84.5 million the other amount $2.9 million came in at $22.9 million. The tunnel
itself in St. Paul at 25% overbid. It will be a a great rat hole of all time. It
will give a few favored contractors. The Strib has a vested interest in Light
rail with a double standard for liberals Clinton and locals are above the law.
The light rail and Startribune is unaccountable arrogant hudspa(sp?) at its
worst. Their editroial page should opt out since they have a vested interest.

http://www.mntaxpayersleague.org ? --- Tyson company, a major Clinton contributor
had cocaine smuggled in the chickens which only got limited press. Clear channel
communications bought up all the conservative communication companies. That is
one of the only bastions of the other side of the media. Rupert murdoch is
criticized as sleaze since he is considered a conservative.

Light rail - The state only builds 9-10% of roads if we reduce the gasoline tax
and had the money come elsewhere. We divert $130 million in year to the Met
Council, they do sewer work (billed seperately) from property taxes, they push
light rail and pub. transportation, we are using the $$ for new urbanism and
light rail. IF we got fir of the Met council we wouldn't need the gas tax. Hen
cty is trying to put a a portion of MN bureau of engraving to a parking lot
underground for the light rail. Where is the MPLS community getting all this
money for this project? Their is a Large tax increment financing there(when
someone increases property value for tax purposes) When I pay those taxes that
goes to repay those bonds
